I had to stay onstage to sing my crowning song 'The Sound of Music'. One of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my life. I was so happy I couldn't hold back my tears of joy.

Andrew Lloyd Webber began his Televised Canada Wide search for the perfect young woman to become 'Maria' in the North American Premier of "The Sound of Music". Elicia MacKenzie was one of thousands of talented performers to audition. After many months of tough competition Elicia won the hearts of the viewers and became 'Maria'.
